Mrs Linda (Mentor) - Gold Excellence & Innovation

 

For one of my C.A.R.E award task I was to make a DLO talking about a mentor in our school. I decided to talk about a hard working mentor name Mrs Linda. Her hard work is appreciated in our class and students really like the way she makes our learning enjoyable. Mrs Linda helps student from year 5-8 with difficulties in learning areas such as Reading, Maths, Writing and also help teacher with their duties. Mrs Linda shows many qualities to all students and teachers and shows great sense of humor. I would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Linda for all her participation into our learning and her hard work towards helping students and teachers.   

Academic Achievements - Gold Excellence & Innovation

For one of my C.A.R.E award tasks I was to create a DLO writing all my academic achievements. I have done a lot of things this term such as representing my school at the Manaikalani Ambassador showcase which is where other Manaikalani cluster schools come together and share their work. I always try to perform the best I can in every area of learning and sports. The most fearless academic achievements I've overcame is presenting my work to big audience. When I first started presenting my work to audience last year I was a bit sheepish, but right now I have a high level of confidence and will present my work to the best I can. I am also proud of myself because I have 7 badges which is my silver: Confidence, Attitude, Respect, Excellence & Innovation and I have got my gold Respect badge. I got my Manaikalani Ambassador badge and also the NYLD (national young leaders day) badge. 

Teaching Viliami how to create a DLO

Today I have finished one of my Confidence CARE Award tasks. One of the task was to teach a junior student how to create a DLO. Today I was teaching Viliami how to create a DLO. In this DLO we have included what he has been learning in Reading and Inquiry. Viliami has done a great job at creating the DLO with me. I think Viliami knows how to create a DLO. Viliami has inserted some photos on DLO. He has also learnt how to write his name on the DLO.

Three Novels I Have Read This Term

This DLO is for my Excellence and Innovation CARE Award. For this task I had to read three novels in a term and explain what the three books are about. I have read Geronimo Stilton - Fabulous Vacation Geronimo, Diary of a Rugby Champ, and 1915 Wounds Of War. 

Sir Edmund Hillary - CARE Award - Excellence and Innovation

Today I have finished one of Excellence and Innovation CARE Award task. I had to make a DLO about someone who has been showing excellence and innovation. I did Sir Edmund Hillary. I think Sir Edmund Hillary has shown Excellence and Innovation.

This is my last poster for my Excellence and Innovation task. I did this poster on Muhammad Ali. I think this quote can inspire anyone. It says to be a champion you must believe you are the best. If you're not, pretend you are. This quote means if you want to be a great champion you have to believe in yourself.

This is my second quote poster for my Excellence and Innovation task. My first one was on Edmund Hillary.  This poster is on Mahatma Gandhi. I think this quote will inspire and help others. This quote even inspires me. This quote means that you should use your time of life wisely and learn with the time you have.

For one of my Excellence and Innovation CARE Award tasks I had to complete 6 days on transum doing a timetable. I did the 7 time tables. I did pretty well. This was easy. The best score that I had was on Friday. It took me 26 seconds to answer 20 equations of the 7 timetable. I had fun doing this.

I stall have to create two more posters. This quote means if you have a big goal achieve smaller goals to achieve your big goals.

My Personal Passion - C A R E Awards - Excellence and Innovation

For one of my Excellence and Innovation C A R E Award task I had to make a DLO about My Personal Passion (my favourite sport). My favourite sport is Rugby. It is a very amazing sport to play. As you can see I have wroten about rugby and also have pictures that connect with rugby. I think if you play rugby you will enjoy it.
