Armistice Day|Personal Challenge Pt 3

Today for our Personal Research Challenge LS2 was given a task which was to create a question chart about World War 1. What we were to do is write down a variety of questions that we want to know about WW1 on a piece of paper.
After that we were to chose one best question and were to research about it. We've completed our first question and this blog post is about our second question. What Kind Of Food Did Soldiers Eat During WW1? We found out that soldiers eat egg biscuits, bully beef and more. (Also known as Corned Beef). For this task I worked with Sanujan and Renier

Armistice Day|Personal Challenge Pt 2

Since Armistice Day has just passed, Mrs Anderson, gave Learning Space 2 an interesting task. What we were to do, was write down questions we would want to find out about WW1. We had a series of questions. For this task I with Reneir and Sanujan.

Our Questions Are
What did the soldiers eat during World War 1?
Are their food safe to eat?
Why did they choose Flanders Field?
Who cooked their food?
Why did the war end at 11:11 of the 11th day of the 11th month?
How long do they train for?
Why was New Zealand part of the Allies?
Why Were The United States Involved In World War 1

Once we've chose the best question. We were to created a DLO and put in the answers we received from researching on it.

Extra For Experts - Mixed and Improper Fractions

Today for maths Ms Kirkpatrick's maths group are focusing on exponents which is also known as powers. Exponents or Powers are a short version of writing a long equations. For example if your writing 8 x 8 x 8 = 512 but to make it look easy you can put a 8 with a little 3 on the top right corner. I worked with Sanujan to work out the answers of three exponents equations which were 8 to the power of 3, 4 to the power to 3, and 2 to the power of 2. We found it easy since we've already have experienced doing it. Before choosing three exponents we first had to fill a worksheet with 18 exponent problem which we finished in 5 minutes. If you would like to know how to workout exponents look at our DLO.
