The Modern and Ancient Athletes Diet - Olympics

LI: to find out what modern Olympic athletes eat.

LI: to compare an ancient Olympic athlete’s diet with a modern Olympic athlete’s diet.

Today for Inquiry ( Topic : Olympic ) We did challenge 4. For this task we had to get pictures of one Modern (Now) Athlete and One Ancient (Old) Athletes diet (What they Eat) and see the similarities between an Ancient athlete and a Modern athlete diet. It seems like more Ancient Olympics Athletes eat more Protein than Modern Athletes. For the Modern athlete I did Michael Phelps (Swimming) and for The Ancient athlete I did Milo O Croton (Boxer).

The Modern and Ancient Athletes Diet - Olympics

This term for Inquiry we are focusing on Ancient Olympics. There are four different groups which have four different topics which includes: Diet , Training, Ancient/Modern Olympics, and Hauora. I'm in the diet group and our first challenge was to find the science definitions of Fat, Carbohydrate, Protein, and Vitamins  Minerals and Energy and to also put pictures. We didn't do energy because energy comes from Carbohydrate (Fact) . When we were choosing picture we didn't just get any picture we respect the people who took the picture by attributing the images and also pressing search tools and clicking on labeled for reuse . When you attribute images you have to have the link of the website you got the photo from, who took the photo, and the licence to see if you got permission to use the photo. I've learnt that Protein gains muscles and and organs like the heart, lungs and also the stomach. I've also learnt that there are two type of carbohydrate which are, simple and complex.
