Something I have read or watched that is like this is...
Something I know about that is like this is...
My reaction to this story is...
Freeman and I have read a story called best mates. It’s about a boy name Mana who had a best friend called Jackson. They loved to do everything together. One day Jackson told Mana that he was moving to Auckland. Mana was sad and wasn’t happy. Mana’s dad told him that he and his partner was going to have a baby which dad thinks he could be Mana’s best mate. Another book that we have read that is similar to Best Mates is Called Mossie. It’s similar because they both about friendship and being together.

Something that happened that around world is that refugees move away from their country and they sometimes leave their family and friends and they miss them.

Freeman - I like this book because It reminds me when I was a little kids and playing rugby with my cousins all the time.

Something bad I have done is the one my brother I were playing rugby and I accidently kicked the ball the wrong way and it hit the window. The whole window was cracked and my brother and I were in serious trouble.Image result for window crack

Today for Reading we read a book called Sons of Ma'afu. It was about a Tongan chief name Ma'afu who had two boys name Ma'futoka and Ma'afulele. These two boys were getting into a lot of trouble and the people weren't happy of them so they were punished. Both of the boys were sent to Atavahea to get water. While they were getting the water a huge duck leaped from the water and attacked. It destroyed them with its wings, but the two boys were to strong and they handled the huge duck. The next day they were sent to Muihatafa get water again. While getting their water a huge trigger fish (stronger than the huge duck) came attacking Ma'afutoka and Ma'afulele, but the boys fought hard and attacked the huge trigger fish. They got there water and went back to the village. For our reading task we had to do making connections. For text to text we had to get another book that we have read that is similar to the Sons of Ma'afu. I got the Seven Stars of Matariki because in the Sons of Ma'afu book it included starts. For text to world we had to write down five facts about the Southern Cross and for text to self we had to right down the things we have done bad like Ma'afutoka and Ma'afulele. I have read a book called Never Give Up. I have read another book called Making The Team. They are both similar because both characters in both stories never give up playing rugby and both books are based on
Rugby.

Something I know about rugby is that they have 15 players on the field. I also know that a try is five points and if you get the kick you earn two points.

As a New Zealander I like the text Never Give Up and also the Making The Team because these two books are based on my favorite sport (Rugby). I also like these books because both characters in both stories never give. Both character keep on trying there best and giving 100% of what they are doing.

There is a book I have read and it has a dragon in it. It is called if I had a dragon. It is similar than the book Awarua the taniwha of porirua. They are both fiction books. This dragon does the same thing as what Awarua did. It likes to fly. This dragon flies with his best friend. The dragon will likes flying so he flies around the world. The top of Mana island is flat because when Awarua the taniwha was trying to learn how to fly. He failed and crashed into the island.

As a New Zealander I like this book because it tells us where Awarua crashed and it shows a picture as well. It shows a good version of the flat mountainImage result for moari flagImage result for new zealand flag

Today for Reading we read a book called Awarua The Taniwha Of Porirua. We read one paragraph each. After that we explained happened about Awarua. Our task was to use the given template we were given and write a text similar to Awarua and connect with Awarua The Taniwha Of Porirua , Explain why the Mana Island is flat , and write down why as a New Zealander would you like or not like the book. This was a interesting task. It was pretty easy as well. I learnt where Awarua crashed which was Mana Island which is in Porirua Wellington.
