As part of the Matariki festival, there is a two day Kapa Haka competition. The haka is a traditional war dance that Maori performed before going into battle. The haka is now performed by children/adults in the community and by professional sporting teams, including our national rugby team, the ‘All Blacks.’ The All Blacks have performed various haka over the years. Watch the following three haka videos (1 – 3) and, on your blog, list the haka videos in order from best (#1) to worst (#3). There are no right or wrong answers ☺
World Cup 2015 - All Blacks vs Argentina - Rate - (#1) because they look very tough, strong and serious.
All Blacks vs South Africa 2016 - Rate - (#1) because they are focused and doing it at the same time.
Rugby World Cup 2011 - All Blacks vs France - Rate - (#1) Same reasons as one and two.
Hello Ofa
ReplyDeleteI think that all of the hakas that were performed by the All Blacks but to me, the haka they did against Argentina was the best one. Keep up the amazing work Ofa!

Hi Ofa. I think the haka against Argentina was the best because they looked very intimidating. I like how you have linked the videos on your blogpost, so the readers can see for themselves. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteHello Ofa, I think the best haka was the one against Argentina. I like how you have put the links to each haka on your blogpost. Keep up the spectacular work.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Ofa,
ReplyDeleteI see that you've listed the three haka in order but I'm not entirely sure which one you like the most. Is your favourite haka the 2015 performance? I definitely agree with you that the team looked very tough, strong and serious. My favourite hakas are those that are bold, loud and strong.
I hope that you are starting your next term with strength and determination. I'm really looking forward to coming into Panmure Bridge to hand out certificates and prizes really soon!
See you in a few weeks :)
