Kiwican Reflection
Today was our 3rd session of Kiwican. For Kiwican our topic is Respect. At school we are to respect ourselves, teachers, and other students. For our energizer we played a game called Sensible. This is played within a circle. Ms Paige (kiwi can teacher) put us into number from 1 to 4. Then Ms Paige called out a number and those numbers were to run around the circle and then try and steal the ball that was in the middle of the circle. We were to show respect in this game by not pushing to others and also respecting that there are other around us. After that we talked more about the rules of our school and if we either disagree with or agree with them. People disagreed that drink fizzing is not allowed. I agreed with this rule because fizzy drinks can lead to heart disease and since most students are active during the day and play a lot of sports we should eat and drink healthy. Soon we played Bus Stop for our activity. For this game we were put into groups of 6. Then either Mr Matt (kiwi can teacher) or Ms Paige were to give a letter. For example if the letter was 'L' we were to figure out a boy, girl, animal, food, and color that started with the letter 'L'. It was pretty easy for me since I played this game nearly every day with my siblings. At the end we were given points for showing or having Respect, Participation, Encouragement, Positive Attitude and Teamwork. We got 24.5 points which we are happy of.
