I have read a book called the sons of Ma’afu. I have read another book that is similar which is called The Seven Stars of Matariki. These two books were set in the past and is traditional. They are similar because they both included starts in it.

Something bad I have done is the one my brother I were playing rugby and I accidently kicked the ball the wrong way and it hit the window. The whole window was cracked and my brother and I were in serious trouble.

Today for Reading we read a book called Sons of Ma'afu. It was about a Tongan chief name Ma'afu who had two boys name Ma'futoka and Ma'afulele. These two boys were getting into a lot of trouble and the people weren't happy of them so they were punished. Both of the boys were sent to Atavahea to get water. While they were getting the water a huge duck leaped from the water and attacked. It destroyed them with its wings, but the two boys were to strong and they handled the huge duck. The next day they were sent to Muihatafa get water again. While getting their water a huge trigger fish (stronger than the huge duck) came attacking Ma'afutoka and Ma'afulele, but the boys fought hard and attacked the huge trigger fish. They got there water and went back to the village. For our reading task we had to do making connections. For text to text we had to get another book that we have read that is similar to the Sons of Ma'afu. I got the Seven Stars of Matariki because in the Sons of Ma'afu book it included starts. For text to world we had to write down five facts about the Southern Cross and for text to self we had to right down the things we have done bad like Ma'afutoka and Ma'afulele.
