How to make a Non-Polluting Car - Explanation

L.I. To find the most important (main) idea in a text.
For reading In this task we had to make a DLO explaining what the text (How to make a Non-Polluting Car) we were reading was about, What we did for the past two weeks in Reading, give an example and also had to take screen shoots of the text, the questions we answered before and after the text, and the words we were struggling on. By reading this text I learnt that making a Non-Polluting Car you are needed a Milk Carton, Cardboard or Plastic lids, Two Pencils with flat sides, Scissors, Rubber band, Ballpoint Pen, Compass, Hole Punch, and a thick cardboard. I was very struggling on thinking what the text was, if it was a Persuasive, Narrative, Recount, Information Report, Procedural, or a Instructional text. I think for next time for me I should add more information into my work to make it more detailed.

Modern and Ancient Olympics

L.I. Compare and contrast the ancient Olympics games with the modern Olympics games.

Today for inquiry Pote, Fraidoon, and I finished our Ancient and Modern Olympic Task. Before doing anything we had to write our prior knowledge what we know about Ancient and Modern Olympics. After that we had to attributed images. We attributed two images of ancient Olympic and two pictures of modern Olympic. After attributing images soon we had to write down words from A to Z relating to Olympics. For W we did Water Polo. After that we wrote facts about Modern and Ancient Olympics and also made a Venn diagram comparing the difference and similarities of Modern and Ancient Olympic. (Ancient Fact) I learnt that Ancient Olympics were regarded as a religious festival dedicated to Zeus defeating his father, Kronos. (Modern Fact) I also learnt that since the 1904 Olympics, medals are awarded in each event with gold medals for first place, silver for second place , and brownse for third place. What I was struggling on was finding words from A to Z that was related to Olympics.

Rocket Ship Blast Off

Today for maths, Mr Orgivelle groups had to play a game called Rocket Ship using the Place Value House Number Columns which are the Ones Column, Tens Column, and the hundreds Column. First you have to roll the dice and for example if you get a nine you have to put it in one of the Ones, Tens and hundreds column boxes. You don't put it in any boxes, you have to think where you put it because the number has to go smallest to biggest like, 201, 403, 506, 578, 993. Our learning was to apply our Place Value Knowledge.
