Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 5 Activities

Today I have completed Week 1, Day 5 Activities which is the last day for Week 1. The activities I did was write a description about New Zealand as if New Zealand was going to be sink under water, letter to a friend about a trip to the Tundra, and the last activity was based on if you would go for and against logging. The activity I enjoyed the most was the logging task because I got to choose which side I was for the argument. As you can see I was against the argument which means I don't want people cutting trees. One reason is because animals homes are going to be destroyed.

It is awesome to see you making your way through the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. I really like the way that you have created separate boxes for each of the activities. It really makes them stand out and makes it so much easier for us, as readers, to follow. I feel very special that you addressed your letter about the tundra to me. Thanks for thinking of me!

Like you, I would find it pretty weird to visit a place that was practically treeless. My dad has actually been to the tundra before and he said that it was unlike anywhere that he had ever been. Apparently, it can become bitterly cold at night. Dad had to sleep in a tent with layers and layers of wool clothing, wool blankets and a special sleeping bag. I don't think that I would have made it through one night in the tundra. I would have been too cold and uncomfortable. Do you like the cold?

I hope that you'll continue the journey with us this summer, sharing your learning and your great posts with us. (I love the way that you have attributed the pictures that you included in your third activity. That is perfect).

    Bye for now!

It is great to see that your putting a lot of effort into these activities. You are doing great at the moment. All of your google drawings looks amazing. My best of all is the Letter about New Zealand, because you have talked about it and you have given credit to the owners of the image. It's good to see that you're writing a letter to Rachel. Nice.

    Keep it Up!

If I was a tourist and I read your blog post about Auckland it would definitely persuade me to come and live in Auckland. 4. Hello Ofa! It was a good idea to make your letter to Rachel, and to talk about a lot of stuff in your visit to Tundra. Would you actually take a trip there if you could? Keep it up!

  5. Hey Ofa,
Good job on these activities, I think the pictures you chose look great. Did you know that trees also produce around 30% of the oxygen we breathe by recycling the Carbon Dioxide we breathe out? This makes them very crucial to our survival.
    Keep it up,
    Alex
