Amelia Earhart & Jean Batten - Timeline

L.I To scan for key information.
L.I To scam texts for general ideas.

Today for reading I had to write a timeline on Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten. I decided to work with Angari again and Koloa. We communicated among each other to get this done. We worked hard and finished it. This time I have learnt a lot about Amelia Earhart. I was a bit struggling on doing Amelia Earhart's timeline but I stall managed to get it done with some help of Angari and Koloa. I think for next time I should do a different aviator not the Wright Brothers or Richard Pearse maybe Alan Cobham who flied corps in World War 1 or maybe Jimmy Doolittle who was an American aviation pioneer.

Amelia Earhart - Conclusion - Information Report

Amelia Earhart

I have mentioned in this article about Amelia Earhart's achievements as an aviator. Amelia Earhart was the first female pilot to fly across the Atlantic Ocean with Noonan and sadly they both disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean near Howland Island in 1937. On 15 May, 1923 , Amelia Earhart was the 16th woman to get a pilots license. On the 17th of June , 1928 Earhart took of from Trepassey Harbour, Newfoundland in a Fokker plane. In 1931 Amelia Earhart powered a Pitcairn PCA-2 autogyro and set a world altitude record of 18,415 feet. I have also mentioned the plane she had flew. The first plane Amelia Earhart was the one in which she took her first lesson in 1920, a Curtis JN-4 Jenny. She also flew the Lockheed Martin. In 1937, Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan set off in a twin-engine Lockheed Electra Model 10E plane in which they both died. The Lockheed Vega 5B and 5C helped Amelia Earhart achieve her solo non-stopping flight across the Atlantic.

L.I To write a concluding paragraph.

For our reading must do we had to pick a aviator and right a concluding (conclusion) paragraph for that aviator. I did Amelia Earhart because she is my favourite aviator. I learnt about the plane she flew like the Lockheed plane she flew across the Pacific Ocean. I was a bit struggling on thinking what to start off my conclusion but I stall managed to get it done with a little help with Mr Asherts (reliever teacher). I think for next time I should do a conclusion on the other aviators.

For the epic rap battle we had choose two people to rap against each other. We did Jean Batten against Amelia Earhart. We had to add a beat. We had to finish before Thursday because that's is when we are going to present it. I think we did very well. I was a bit struggling on writing this epic rap battle but I managed to get it done with a lot of help from Mataio , Aung Naing and Freeman who are with me. Richard Pearse & the Wright Brothers - Timeline

L.I To scan for key information.
L.I To skim texts for general ideas.

Today for Reading All Mr Wong's group had to make a timeline about Richard Pearse and the Wright Brothers achievements. I worked with Angari to do this. I decided to do Richard Pearse timeline and Angari decided to do the Wright Brothers Timeline. There were two texts one about Richard Pearse and one for the Wright Brothers. We had to read both text and had to find out who flew planes first about of them. I had really fun doing this. It was a bit hard finding who flew first out of Richard Pearse and the Wright Brothers. I learnt a lot about Richard Pearse and the Wright Brothers. I think for next time I should do a timeline on Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.

L.I: To understand units of measurement
L.I To investigate units of measurement

This week for our maths must do we had to find ten items around our class and measure the mm , cm , M , Km , and out thumb rulers we made. I had really fun doing this. I did this with Mikihiro and Mataio (classmates). I learnt what all those units of measurement are. When we were measuring we had to measure moth standard and non standard ruler. Our non standard ruler was the thumb ruler we created and the standard one was the ruler we normally use for measuring. I was a bit struggling at measuring some items but I stall managed to do it. I think for next time I should measurement measure more accurately next time.
