25 Word Summary - Agent Of Change


Today for inquiry we talked about what agent of change do to help others and how we could become an agent of change. We helped our teacher write a 25 word summary about what a agent of change do. After that we had to partner and make our own 25 word summary. I worked with Freeman. We both worked collaborative to do this.

E-Ako Maths - Number Facts - Making 10 - Addition and Subtraction


Today for maths Diamond group had to go on e-ako maths. We had to anything we want on e-ako maths. I did Addition and Subtraction to 10. This was pretty easy and fun. I have played this two time. My first score is 30 and my second is 31. Next time I should gest 32.

Today for writing we were given another task of comparative and superlative words. There were lots of adjectives and we had to name the comparative and superlative of that adjective. After doing all of it we had to pick one illustrate. I picked Angry , Angrier , and Angriest. We had to make a DLO and put pictures on it that suits to Angry , Angrier , and Angriest. I have learnt lots about adjectives. I had a lot of fun doing this. I hope I do this again.

Number Ordering To One Thousand



Challenge


L.I: To order numbers between 1 and 1,000,000.

Today for maths diamond group our task was to complete 5 activities that was based on number ordering to 1,000,000. Our first activity was to go on Caterpillar Organising. For this activity we had to order the numbers given 1 to 999 forwards and backwards. This activity was pretty easy.  For our second activity we had to do Caterpillar Slide. For this activity we had to Order the numbers given from smallest to biggest. We had to make sure our numbers are in the 1,000s. Our third activity was called Beat the computer. For this activity I had to beat the computer by making the biggest number that was choose for me and the computer. Our fourth game was called Greatest to Least & Least to Greatest. For this activity we had to Order the numbers given to us into smallest to biggest, biggest to smallest. The last activity was a challenge activity. We had to order the population of countries biggest to smallest. I did all 5 activities right. All 5 activities were all awesome to play. I had fun doing this.

For inquiry today we had to make a DLO showing what is a agent of change and what we could do to become an agent of change. I added pictures to my DLO. I have learnt lots about agent. I learnt that a agent of change is someone you changes.

Tech




Today the year 7 and 8 went to tech at Tamaki College. Half of the year 7 went to wood work and the other half went o graphics. The year did food tech. They cooked kabas and potato salad. Today for tech we were learning about Jewellery's. The fun thing today about tech was we got to draw four items that we picked last week for the client we are going to make the Jewellery for. I am doing a bracelet for my teacher Mrs Anderson. I know she like woman shoes , handbags , history and coffee. I draw all four pictures. There are some pictures there when we were learning.

Technology - Lesson 2 - Product Research







We learnt these new words in tech Unistructual , Multistructual , Relational and Extended Abstract.

 Today the year 7 and 8 went to tech. They 8 did food tech and the year 7 did graphics. What we did today was we did Product Research. This was really fun. We talked about the materials of Jewellery and how it looks like. We talked a lot about Jewellery's today. Our second task was to pick four things that we wrote that our client like and draw it. This was pretty hard but I stall managed to draw four pictures. I did this for my teacher Mrs Anderson. I drawed Woman shoes , History , Hand Bag , and Coffee.

Today I went on e-ako maths and started of with Addition and Subtraction facts (basic facts). I learnt lots. This was pretty easy. I did very fast. I think for next time I should try something harder.

There is a book I have read and it has a dragon in it. It is called if I had a dragon. It is similar than the book Awarua the taniwha of porirua. They are both fiction books. This dragon does the same thing as what Awarua did. It likes to fly. This dragon flies with his best friend. The dragon will likes flying so he flies around the world. The top of Mana island is flat because when Awarua the taniwha was trying to learn how to fly. He failed and crashed into the island.

As a New Zealander I like this book because it tells us where Awarua crashed and it shows a picture as well. It shows a good version of the flat mountainImage result for moari flagImage result for new zealand flag













Today for Reading we read a book called Awarua The Taniwha Of Porirua. We read one paragraph each. After that we explained happened about Awarua. Our task was to use the given template we were given and write a text similar to Awarua and connect with Awarua The Taniwha Of Porirua , Explain why the Mana Island is flat , and write down why as a New Zealander would you like or not like the book. This was a interesting task. It was pretty easy as well. I learnt where Awarua crashed which was Mana Island which is in Porirua Wellington.

What is a river?


L.I To identify and describe the features of the Tamaki River.

Today for Inquiry we watched a video about what rivers are. We had to wright notes. We found lots of words like meander , river channel , tributary , estuarial arm , creek , mouth , and source. After that we had to write a summary with 25 words what a river is. Soon we had to make a DLO. We had to put our 25 word summary about what rivers are and had to label on the tamaki river (the picture shown in our DLO where the meander , river channel , tributary , esturial arm , creek , mouth , and source is. As you can we have shown you guys. I worked with Mataio. We both worked collaterally.

SPaG


L.I: To strengthen connections to spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Today we learnt about SPag. This term for SPaG we are going to learn about Sentence and Punctuation , Simple sentences , Compounds sentences , Elaboration (stretching sentences) - Strengthen Ideas , Complex sentences and Paragraphs. Today we learnt about the Sentence and Punctuation. I learnt that Punctuation gives your writing personality! What we had to do was we had to make a DLO writing a sentence (example we used - wrong - lets eat the earth - wright - lets eat, the earth) without any punctuation and not making any sense. After that I had to fix the sentence by putting punctuation inside it. I worked with Zane and Lerick. We had a lot of fun doing this.

Today for Writing my task there were 15 sentences with adjectives words in it. We had to highlight all the adjectives words in that 15 sentences. As you can see the task is above the google drawing. There were two words in each sentence. We had to choose which one of the adjective word will make sense with the . After that we had to pick one of the adjective sentences, make a google drawing and put pictures that will show what the adjective mean. I picked adjective sentence number 10.  I had a lot of fun doing this.

Summer Learning Journey Competetion/Challenge - C A R E Award - Confidence



For one of my Confidence C A R E Award task I had to enter a Competition. I entered the Summer Learning Journey Competition and I cam third for commenting on other peoples Summer Learning Journey tasks. It was very easy commenting on other people's task for the Summer Learning Journey Competition. I have learnt a lo from them. Daniel did the most blog post for the Summer Learning Journey Competition. I will enter this Competition this holidays.
