L.I. I am learning to use compatible numbers to solve problems

1.  6 + 3 + 6 - 12 = 3   6 + 6 = 12     12 - 12 = 0     0 + 3 = 3

2.   5 + 7 + 2 + 6 - 7 = 1     6 + 7 = 13  7 + 5 + 1 from the 2 = 13     13 - 13 = 0    0 + the leftover 1 = 1

3.   6 + 7 + 3 - 10 = 0     10 + 3 = 13   6 + 7 = 13    13 - 13 = 0

4.   5 + 4 +3 +4 - 7 - 9 = 0    9 + 7 = 16     4 + 3 = 7 + 4 = 11 = 5 = 16     16 - 16 = 0  

5.   6 + 6 +7 +7 - 14 = 12    7 + 7 = 14    14 - 14 = 0    0 + 6 + 6 = 12


Today for maths we had to solve our last equations for week 3. We had to solve our equations by compatible numbers. For example we had to make pairs that make up to the number for the subtracted numbers and then add the last numbers which is the answer.
