Summer Learning Journey - Week 4 - Day 4 - Bonus Activity

For this Summer Learning Journey activity I had to choose my favorite song and write down the person who wrote it, the name of the song and the lyrics of the song. To earn full points for this activity I had to write down lyrics not copy it from a website. My favorite song is don't give it up. When I hear the music I can't stop singing it even though I don't know that much lyrics.

Song name: Don't give it up

Song writer: Six60
Lyrics:
Don't give it up
I'm telling you
Telling you
Telling you, I
Won't give it up
No, no, no
So don't even
Don't even
Don't even try

People lie all they do is dance between the lines they wont change fake gold chains and shades to hide those eyes

I can't complain
Its just the nature of these times, times

Don't give it up
I'm telling you
Telling you
Telling you, I
Won't give it up
No, no, no
So don't even
Don't even
Don't even try

I was you, trying to find a way
To waste my youth
Ups and downs
Round and round
The world, it turns on you

I can't complain
Its just the nature of these times, times

Don't give it up
I'm telling you
Telling you
Telling you, I
Won't give it up
No, no, no
So don't even
Don't even
Don't even try

  1. Konichiwa Ofa,
my name is Cia. I am a Ako Hiko Summer Learning Journey commentator who will be working with various bloggers over the summer break.

Thanks for being so diligent about typing the lyrics, your organisation is terrific! Perhaps next time you could include which parts are the bridge, verses and chorus. Thank you for including a link to the song it made it easier to listen to it straight away, rather than having to search for it!
Also, what is your favourite thing about this song?

‘Don’t Forget Your Roots’ is one of my favourite Six60 songs, I love the message behind it. Have you heard it before? Here is a link to the song:

Let me know what you think about the lyrics!

Toe feiloa’i fo’i ('See you again' in Samoan),
