Summer Learning Journey - Week 2 - Day 5 - Activity 2

Today for the Summer Learning Journey I have come activity 2 for day 5. In this activity I have learnt what men and women wore to cricket games back in the 1940s. Men use to wear suits and hats and women wearing dresses, hats and gloves. For this activity I had to compare the clothing that was worn in 1940 and the clothes that I wear now. I also had to tell which one I would prefer to wear.

The clothes I wear clothes is way different from the 1940s. I didn't wear suits and hat to any sporting games. I usually wear shorts, t-shirt and a jacket. I don't really wear hats to sporting games as well. For me I would prefer the modern style clothing because it is more stylish and their is more brands like Nike, Puma, Adidas, etc.

  1. Kia Ora Ofa,
I am with you on this one, I totally think the clothes we wear nowadays are much more practical and sensible for the weather we live in. Although, stylish can be a very questionable concept because we can see some truly outrageous combinations out there still. For me personally, I tried to avoid use big brands names in my clothes, what I mean is if they want me to advertise for their brands they should pay me for it and not the other way around. I like to wear clothes that are comfortable but also that are playful and reflect my personality as well. Do you wear caps usually for games? I am always wearing a cap in the weekends or on doing any outdoor activity as I really think that a cap gave me a lot of protection from the sun and besides, wearing a cap means that I don't need to style my hair. :)
For the future, I want you to consider adding couple pictures showing the clothes styles that representing past and present as this would add more interesting to your post.
    Overall a good job here!

    Patricia
