Summer Learning Journey - Week 3 - Day 5 - Bonus Activity

For the Summer Learning Journey I have finally completed the bonus activity for day 5 of week 3. For this activity I had to tell what I think about why or why not should students have to pay money (tuition fees) to go to university?

I think students shouldn't pay fees because some people don't have enough money. Why? Because people are too busy paying bills for the house and food for their kids. I think students shouldn't pay fees to go university because if they can't pay it that means their dream job is gone and that is not good for them and their families.

  1. Mālō e lelei Ofa,
I totally agree with you because as a university student myself, I found very hard to believe that I will start my career with a huge debt in order to pay for my education. I think education should be free because it will enable people to have careers, find better jobs and have a better life style which, on the other hand, will contribute to make Zealand a better society to live. Furthermore, as people are able to get better jobs, there is the economic benefits to society which include increased tax revenues and faster economic growth.
I really hope that by the time you go to university you will not have to pay for it so you can pursue your dream job! Way to go!

    Keep up the great work!
