Summer Learning Journey - Week 3 - Day 4 - Activity 2

Today I have completed activity 2 for day 4. For this activity I had to Imagine that I was a student in the 1980s and I am about to graduate from high school. I had to tell where I would like to go on my big OE (big overseas experience)? On my blog I had to tell which country I would visit and give three (3) reasons for my choice. I also had to find some pictures on the internet of things that I would like to see and do in that country.

If I would to go on my big OE I would go to Australia. I would like to Australia because I have some family members there like my mums brothers. I could visit them because I haven't seen them in a long time. I would also go their because I would like to visit Australia because most of the NRL (National Rugby league) games are there and I really like watching rugby. I would like to go Australia because I want to go to Wet'n'Wild. My older brother has been there and it would be amazing if I could go there as well. Image result for wet and wild australia

  1. Hi Ofa

It's Allie here again from the SLJ team in Greymouth.

Going on your big OE would be an experience of a lifetime. It would be amazing to go somewhere that you have family. This just gives the trip so much more meaning. If you were able to have the experience of having a holiday as well as spending time with your family. How cool would that be?
You sound like you are a massive NRL fan. You could always go and play for one of the clubs over there. You might get spotted by the talent scouts and imagine being able to one day play in the NRL.
Which team is you favourite? Who would you like to play for if you could?
My son went to the Melbourne Storm when he was younger on a scholarship. He used to play league for the South Island Scorpions.
But now he just plays rugby and doesn't play league anymore. He was trying to play both but it was too much. Since then he has been to play for the NZ Heartland U19 team.

Wet n Wild is a really fun looking place to visit. I am sure that you would have an absolute fun time there. Especially if you went with your Uncles and families! There are some really cool theme parks on the Gold Coast! You would have a fantastic time!

Well done Ofa, I hope you get to visit Australia one day and see your family and maybe even go to see a NRL game.

    Until next time

    Allie :)

  2. Hi Ofa
Good job on completing this summer learning journey activity. I like how you wanted to go to Australia to visit some of your family. Wet n Wild looks like heaps of fun. I also wish I could go there someday. Keep up the good work.
